About Una
Una Stoddart, founder of Align Physical Therapy, is a licensed physical therapist. She attended U.C. Berkeley and New York Medical College where she received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. She has undergone extensive training in pilates through Turning Point Pilates and ITT Pilates. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, she worked as a body worker specializing in acupressure. She has been trained in a variety of manual therapy techniques including strain counter strain, craniosacral therapy and other gently osteopathic techniques. She enjoys working with people of all shapes, sizes and abilities. She has a special interest in working with those with Hypermobility Syndrome (double jointedness to an extent that causes pain and dysfunction.) She believes that everyone can reap the benefits of exercise no matter what their disability or condition is. Her interests, outside of work, include cooking international dishes, dance, martial arts, yoga, swimming and hiking.

Utilizing the best and most proven exercise and hands-on techniques, we will work to correct your pain and dysfunction. We will educate you on the best methods to maintain your posture, alignment and health. By encouraging self-awareness and insight we help you gain the tools to unlock your body's ability to self-heal.
Location
Align Physical Therapy is located in the Temescal District of Oakland at Temescal Pilates. There is a large parking lot as well as ample unmetered street parking. You can find us on the corner of Telegraph and 55th in a large Art Deco brick building. The office is conveniently located next to the connectors to highways 580, 80, 24 and 880.
What to Expect
Patients attend an initial evaluation for their first session. Posture, joint movement and mobility, alignment, balance and strength are assessed during the evaluation. A treatment plan individually designed for you will be created. We will discuss and develop goals as part of your treatment plan. We take the time to carefully assess and get to know you. All sessions are one-on-one personalized sessions.
Rates
Physical Therapy, Pilates Rehab and Wellness sessions are $130 per session. Discounts are applied when 6 or more sessions are purchased. Receipts for sessions may be submitted to insurance (except medicare) or flex spend programs. We also offer workshops and classes to the community at affordable rates. Home visits, skype and phone consultations may be available for those outside the area or with with limited mobility.
